Piggies in a Blanket

When I was living at home growing up, our neighbor girl would come over and be eating this. It always looked so good. I think I eventually asked her mom how to make these, or at least assumed. Thanks Linda for this great idea! It makes a delicious dinner. Our kids loved it.

What you will need:
3/4 C. milk
3 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. yeast
1 1/2 C. warm water
5-6 C. flour
1/2 C. oats, optional
8-10 hot dogs, cut in small bite size pieces
2 1/2 C. shredded cheese

In a large bowl add milk, sugar, salt, and butter.
Place in the microwave for about a minute until butter melts.
In a separate bowl combine yeast and warm water.
Let sit until bubbly.
Add flour and yeast mixture to milk mixture in large bowl.
Knead for 5-7 minutes and let rest for at least 5 minutes.
Cut dough in half.
Roll out 1st section and place on large greased cookie sheet. Poke all over with a fork.
Slice hot dogs.
Spread hot dogs and cheese all over bottom crust.
Top with rest of dough and seal around the edges.
Poke top crust with fork.
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes and golden brown.
Make sure it is golden brown, the middle tends to be doughy otherwise.
Serve with ketchup, mustard, or even salsa.
Don't forget to serve with a vegetable.
Can also fill with other toppings like: pepperoni, chicken, ham, etc.
