Shepherd's Pie

1 1b. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can diced tomatoes in juice
1 C. frozen peas
1 can green beans
6 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tsp. salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 C. milk
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. Italian Seasoning
1 C. grated cheese

In a pot on the stove add potatoes and cover with water.
Add salt and garlic cloves.
Boil for 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft. 

In a skillet on the stove brown beef.

Add onion & carrots.
Cook for 8-10 minutes.
Add soup, tomatoes, peas, & green beans.
Cook for 5 minutes.
Drain the potatoes and mash with a slotted spoon, large fork, or beat with electric beaters.
Add milk & butter.

In a greased 9X13 inch pan add meat mixture.

Top with mashed potatoes.

Top with cheese, seasoning & pepper.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until brown around the edges.
Take out of oven.
Let cool for 10 minutes.
Careful! It's hot.
