Fruity Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

I made a lot of cookies for a family get together that we had. These were just one of the kinds I created.

Cookie Dough:
3 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 C. butter
3/4 C. sugar
1 egg
1/2 C. sour cream
1 tsp. raspberry extract
You can also add a few drops of red food coloring, optional

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well incorporated into a large ball. Roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter, cookie cutter, or cup. Place on greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool on cooling rack. Then frost.

Frosting:
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 1/2 C. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. orange juice
1/2 tsp. orange extract
You can also put a few drops of orange food coloring, optional

These were eaten right up. Enjoy!
