I love to made homemade pizza. I made this recipe up today and the crust turned out delicious!
2 C. warm water
1 Tbsp. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. garlic or onion salt
Flour (1/2 white, 1/2 wheat), enough to form soft dough
In a large bowl add water and yeast. Let sit about 3 minutes. Add sugar, oil, and salt. Add flour and stir until forms into a ball. Knead for 5-10 minutes on a greased surface. Let sit while you prepare toppings and heat up oven. Cut dough in half.
Grease baking sheet and sprinkle with a bit of cornmeal. Roll out dough into a pie shape or a large rectangle. Place dough on baking sheet. Put 1 tsp. olive oil on top of dough and spread across surface of dough.
Top with tomato sauce, cheese, meat, veggies, etc. Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning.
Bake in 425 minutes for about 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Slice with pizza cutter.
Makes two large pizzas.
