Pureed Pumpkin

I have a few pumpkins that we haven't carved, so I decided to make the most of them.
In a large pot of boiling water I placed my cut up pumpkins, after cleaning out the seeds and gunk.
Boiled them for about 30 minutes.
Placed a few pieces at a time in the blender and blended until pureed. Pour into big bowl. Careful it's hot.
Cool.
Place in ziplock freezer bags, label and freeze.
I am so glad I did this. Canned pureed pumpkin can get expensive!
When ready to use, thaw in refrigerator.
