Buttermilk Scones

We love scones at our house. One of our favorite meals at our house is Navaho Tacos. And they are great with honey butter for dessert!
2 cups buttermilk
1 tbs yeast
2 tbs water
2 tbs sugar
1 egg
1 tbs oil
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
4 cups flour
cooking oil for frying
Over a medium stove heat buttermilk until warm.
Soften the yeast in the water.
Combine buttermilk, sugar, egg, oil, baking powder, bakings soda, 2 cups flour. Mix.
Add yeast and beat until smooth.
Add remaining flour to make soft dough.
Rise until double in size.
Roll out until you get desired thickness.
Use a pizza cutter and cut dough into squares.
Place in cooking oil that is on medium heat.
Cook one side at a time.
Once cooked, place on a plate with paper towels.
Let cool.
Serve.
